This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the ground rules for using LeaseFix. It applies to every workspace and every user. Violations may result in suspension or termination of access.

Scope

This AUP applies in addition to your subscription agreement and our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with that agreement, the AUP governs use of the service.

No illegal use

You will not use LeaseFix to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or court order.
  • Discriminate against tenants or applicants on legally protected bases (race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, source of income, or any other protected class in your jurisdiction).
  • Send notices, dispatch entries, or take other actions that violate landlord–tenant law (including improper entry notices, retaliatory actions, or unlawful eviction practices).

No spam, abuse, or harassment

  • No unsolicited bulk messaging through tenant or vendor portals.
  • No threats, harassment, intimidation, or doxxing of tenants, vendors, owners, or staff.
  • No use of {c.PRODUCT_NAME} to coerce or retaliate against people for exercising legal rights.

No scraping or automated extraction

  • No use of bots, scrapers, or unauthorized automation to extract data from LeaseFix.
  • API access is provided through documented endpoints subject to rate limits.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive source code is prohibited except where the law expressly permits it.

No security violations

  • Do not attempt to access workspaces, accounts, or data you are not authorized to access.
  • Do not bypass authentication, row-level security, or rate limits.
  • No credential stuffing, brute forcing, or session hijacking.
  • Coordinated security research is welcome — please report findings to security@leasefix.co before testing.

No harmful AI usage

AI features inside LeaseFix are for legitimate maintenance operations. You will not use them to:

  • Generate threats, discriminatory content, deceptive tenant or vendor communications, or impersonate another person.
  • Generate retaliatory eviction notices or other communications meant to intimidate.
  • Make automated decisions that materially affect tenants without a human in the loop (e.g. denying applicants, approving evictions, dispatching emergency entry).
  • Produce content that violates intellectual property rights or applicable law.

No misuse of tenant, vendor, or owner data

  • Use the data only for the maintenance and property-operations purposes you collected it for.
  • No marketing to tenants or vendors without their explicit, documented consent.
  • No selling or transferring tenant, vendor, or owner data outside the workspace.
  • Comply with retention and deletion requests from data subjects per the Privacy Policy.

No unauthorized access or sharing

  • Do not share your account credentials. Use member invites with appropriate roles.
  • Do not export or repurpose data from the workspace in ways your contract or local law does not permit.

Suspension and enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe a workspace, member, or piece of content violates this AUP. Where practical we will notify workspace admins and give an opportunity to cure. Severe violations (security, illegal content, threats to safety) may result in immediate suspension.
